Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

OddConv ("we", "us") operates the website oddconv.com and its file conversion tools. This policy explains what data is — and, more importantly, is not — collected when you use the site. The short version: your files are processed entirely inside your own browser and are never sent to us or anyone else.

1. Your files never leave your device

Every tool on OddConv runs locally in your browser using JavaScript, Web Workers, the Canvas API, and WebAssembly. When you select or drop a file, it is read and processed on your own computer or phone. We have no servers that receive, store, or even see your files. Nothing is uploaded. Once you close the tab, the file and its data are gone from memory.

2. We do not require accounts or personal data

There is no sign-up, no login, and no contact form that asks for your details. We do not ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the tools.

3. Cookies & consent

We use cookies for one purpose only: anonymous analytics (see below). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

When you first visit, a banner asks for your consent. No analytics cookies are set unless you click “Accept.” If you choose “Decline,” no analytics run and no analytics cookies are created. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link below, which re-opens the banner.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_<id>) to distinguish visitors and sessions. Separately, our provider Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie (such as __cf_bm) to tell humans from bots; it does not identify you and is exempt from consent.

4. Analytics

To understand roughly how many people visit and which tools are useful, we use Google Analytics 4 — but only after you consent. It is configured for privacy:

  • It loads only if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner.
  • It is used for analytics only — never for advertising.
  • IP addresses are anonymized by Google, and we never receive your files or any personal details.

Data is processed by Google; see Google's Privacy Policy. You can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block it everywhere.

5. Local storage

We store a single setting — your light/dark theme preference — in your browser's local storage (key oddconv-theme). It stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and you can clear it any time through your browser settings.

6. Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. As with any website, Cloudflare, acting as our hosting and content-delivery provider, processes basic technical request data (such as IP address and user agent) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This is standard server-level processing and is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy. We do not maintain our own access logs that identify you.

7. Third-party links

Some pages link to external resources (for example documentation). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites.

8. Children

OddConv is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

9. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is generally nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. If you have a question about your privacy under the GDPR, CCPA, or other laws, you can contact us at the address below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
